Life Coaching

What is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is someone who assists another in reaching their goals with any modality necessary.

Who can be a Life Coach?

Anyone can be a Life Coach. There is no legal standard in the State of Florida to call oneself a Life Coach and charge for sessions. There are many transformation seminars, schools, and workshops that offer Life Coach training so it is good to ask your Life Coach about their qualifications and background.

What makes for a good Life Coach?

A lot of the time, a good Life Coach will be one who has been through traumatic or intense life experiences and have transformed themselves. Life experience is not, however, enough to help others transform. A Life Coach will be more successful if they have multiple tools, styles, and angles in helping their clients. A good Life Coach is not a savior, but one who empowers their client to help them self.  A good Life Coach knows how to ask potent questions that cause their client courageous introspection until finding their answers. A Life Coach helps their client make measurable goals and take action steps toward achieving their end result. A good Life Coach is assertive, bold, empathic, in integrity and doesn’t sell their client short by encouraging victim stories or unhealthy patterns. Instead, a good Life Coach holds the space for their client to ‘play big’ and create a life that is meaningful, inspiring, and enriching for them self.

Who needs a Life Coach?

Anyone who is committed to living a life of excellence would benefit from having a Life Coach. If you are committed to mediocrity, then a life coach is not necessary. If you want to transform anything in your life, your relationships, your finances, your body image, your self esteem, or any area in your life that is important to you, then having a Life Coach is imperative. If you want to create the life of your dreams, then find a Life Coach who you trust will not sell you short, and instead hold the space for your greatness.
